Extron has launched its Quantum DTP3 input and output cards for long-distance signal extension for videowall systems, introducing the Quantum IN4DTP3 four-input card.
The card eliminates the need for DTP3 receivers when source devices are located a sizeable distance from the Quantum Ultra II processor, with each input allowing selection of either twisted pair or HDMI formats, and power insertion for remote powering of DTP3 or DTP transmitters.
The Quantum Out4DTP3 card has four DTP3 outputs, with each DTP3 output featuring a corresponding buffered HDMI output to support local displays, streaming, or recording equipment, and power insertion to remotely power DTP3 or DTP receivers. Both cards support signals up to 4K/60 at distances of up to 100 metres.
Twisted pair format is selectable per channel between DTP3, DTP, and XTP modes, with embedded audio which can be managed between input and output cards or sent to a Dante network when paired with a Quantum Out32AT card. For peripheral device control, RS-232 signals can be inserted from the Quantum Ultra II Ethernet control port, providing a method to remotely control source devices. Power insertion enables remote powering of the DTP3 or DTP endpoints.
